Goal

Understand PREDICTED FUNDING RATE — the forecast rate for the next payout.

PREDICTED FUNDING RATE on BTC/USDT: forecast rate for the next payout
PREDICTED FUNDING RATE on BTC/USDT: forecast rate for the next payout
What it shows

The forecast funding rate for the upcoming settlement, in percent.

  • The exchange recalculates the forecast continuously, based on how far the future has moved from spot.
  • The final rate is fixed at the moment of payout.

The difference from BINANCE COIN FUNDING RATE: that one shows what has already been charged. PREDICTED shows where it's heading now.

Watch PREDICTED to know where it's heading. FUNDING RATE is what already happened.
What it's for

Find out where the next payout is heading before it's fixed.

For example.

  • Current rate 0.01%, forecast 0.08%.
  • Over the last few hours the future has moved above spot. If the gap holds until settlement, the next payout will be eight times larger.
