What it shows

Liquidations summed across many exchanges, not just Binance.

  • Histogram in millions of dollars. Units are fixed.
  • Longs, shorts or their difference.
What it's for

Gauge the scale: were positions flushed only on Binance or on every exchange.

For example.

  • TOTAL BINANCE LIQS = 50M, AGG. LIQUIDATIONS = 400M. Binance is one eighth, liquidations hit all exchanges at once.
  • 50 vs 60 — the event is mostly on Binance.
  • A spike across all exchanges on a drop means leverage got flushed across the whole market at once. It is often a pause in selling, not a reversal: for BTC, the low of such an hour holds for a day only slightly more often than usual.
