Goal

Take apart COINBASE PREMIUM — by how many percent the coin’s price on Coinbase differs from the price on Binance.

COINBASE PREMIUM on BTC/USDT, 1h: by how many percent the price on Coinbase is above or below the price on Binance
COINBASE PREMIUM on BTC/USDT, 1h: by how many percent the price on Coinbase is above or below the price on Binance
What it shows

By how many percent the coin’s price on Coinbase is above or below the price on Binance.

  • Coinbase trades against the dollar, Binance against USDT. The indicator accounts for the USDT-to-dollar rate, so it does not show that difference.
  • A histogram: a green bar above zero — more expensive on Coinbase, a red bar below zero — cheaper.
  • The values are small: hundredths of a percent, four decimal places.
  • It also works for tickers with a multiplier, for example 1000PEPE.
  • History starts on 30 September 2026.

BTC on 1 October 2026, 1h: +0.0128% — slightly more expensive on Coinbase.

What it's for

See on which of the two main spot venues buyers are more insistent. Coinbase is spot for dollars, the venue of American buyers. Binance is spot for USDT, the rest of the world.

For example.

  • +0.0128%: on Coinbase they pay hundredths of a percent more than on Binance. Demand there is more insistent.
  • The premium went below zero — on Coinbase they sell more insistently or buy more weakly.
  • This is not arbitrage: the difference is smaller than one trade’s fee, the value is per bar, and arbitrageurs keep the difference near zero. The indicator shows what is left after them.

Try it yourself
  1. Enable COINBASE PREMIUM on BTC/USDT 1h.

What you should get. The sign changes often, the values are hundredths of a percent. This is not a difference arbitrage earns on, but a measure of where the pressure is stronger.
Takeaway

A histogram in hundredths of a percent: a green bar — more expensive on Coinbase, a red one — cheaper. The USDT-to-dollar rate is accounted for. It is not an arbitrage tool: the difference is smaller than the fee, and arbitrageurs keep it near zero.
