Goal

Lock in the words used on every screen that follows: order book, depth, delta, OI, funding, liquidation and the rest.

Words that come up on every screen. Order book, bids, asks and trades were on the previous screen — here they sit next to the rest. Read it once; you can come back any time.

Order book: asks above the price, bids below it. Depth is how many percent from the price to cover; 3% includes everything within 1.5%.
Order bookThe list of limit orders. Bids (buy) sit below the price, asks (sell) above.
Bid / askA buy / sell order. DYOR counts them in dollars.
Limit / marketA limit order sits in the order book and waits for its price. A market order fills immediately against the order book.
Taker / makerA taker fills with a market order, a maker places a limit order. “Buys” and “sells” in trade indicators are takers.
DepthDistance from the current price in percent. A 3% depth is all asks from the price up to +3% and all bids from the price down to −3%. DYOR counts seven depths: 1.5 · 3 · 5 · 8 · 15 · 30 · 60%; each one includes the ones before it.
BarOne candle on the chart. On the 15m timeframe a bar is 15 minutes. Indicators compute a value for each bar.
DeltaThe difference between two values. Trade delta is buys minus sells; order book delta is bids minus asks.
Spot / futuresSpot is buying the coin itself. A future is a contract on the coin's price, traded with leverage. Most indicators have a SPOT / FUTURES switch.
Long / shortA long is a position betting on a rise (you bought). A short bets on a fall (you sold borrowed coins to buy them back cheaper).
Leverage / marginLeverage is a position bigger than your own money; the exchange covers the difference. Margin is your own money behind that position.
OIOpen interest: the total of all open futures positions right now.
FundingA periodic payment between longs and shorts on a perpetual future, usually every 8 hours. The sign of the rate shows who pays.
LiquidationThe exchange force-closes a position when the margin no longer covers the loss.
StablecoinA coin pegged to the dollar: USDT, USDC.
COIN / TOTALCOIN is data for the coin on the chart. TOTAL is the sum across all coins on the market. It gets its own screen later.
Try it yourself
  1. Open the coin search in the top left.
  2. Find BTC/USDT on spot and BTC/USDT on futures — they're two different rows.
What you should get. You can tell spot from futures in the interface: futures have OI and funding, spot doesn't.
Takeaway

Order book: orders that wait. Trades: what got filled. Depth: distance from the price in percent. Delta: the difference between two sides. You can come back to this table from any screen.
